RAPPERSWIL WAS THE LOCATION for the new Swiss Bonding International Congress called Swiss Bonding '02 Organized according to Eduardo Schindel-Bidinelli, the president of Swiss Bonding, the meeting attracted about 300 attendees to hear 37 papers given by means of speakers from a wide range of countries.

Papers concerning of recent origin adhesive technologies for construction and transportation were the main theme of the meeting for consultation The speakers also provided information upon areas where adhesives have replaced mechanical fasteners and welding.

One of the papers from the entertainer country was one co-authored according to Urs Meier and Iwan Stocklin of the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Research
