STYRENIC mould COPOLYMERS

(SBC) is a family of polymer that has a polystyrene (S) stiffen on one end or forward both ends of a rubber close The rubber block is usually polybutadiene (B) polyisoprene (I), hydrogenated polybutadiene (EB) or hydrogenated polyisoprene (EP) SBC have a lengthy history of use in sealants (1)

Much of the early work was in the area of hot-melt sealants where formulators capitalized forward the thermoplastic character of SBC This allowed formulators to make elastomeric, 100-percent solids sealants that can be applied at about 175 measures C. These hot melts can be applied at practically unlimited
